Customization

Hey everyone.

Just wanted to let you know a little bit about cue customization. McDermott offers you the ability to completely customize a cue to your specifications. You can choose a paint color or stain; a linen or leather wrap; the shaft of your choice; cue weight; custom engraving, and other options! Check out the Custom Cue page on our site.

In honor of customization, we’ve started the Custom Clover Competition for the month of November. You can read about the details on how to participate here and you can see the entries on our facebook page wall. We look forward to seeing your entries! Oh, did I mention that the winner gets a G303 cue with a G-Core shaft?

Here are a few of our entries so far:

Cue Maintenance Series: The Shaft

The Shaft

Through use of the cue, the shaft may become soiled. There are many products available to clean the shaft of the cue. Avoid using products containing waxes or oils, such as silicone and lanolin. Application of these products will break down the structure of the wood causing it to soften and decay. We recommend the use of McDermott Renew and Ultraglide. Also, the regular use of McMagic, our hi-tech abrasive films, will smooth the shaft, which makes the shaft less likely to absorb dirt and moisture build-up.

Take care of yourselves and your cue!

Until next time…

-Derek
