McDermott Handcrafted Cues Announces the “Private Reserve Collection”

MENOMONEE FALLS, WI.—April 5, 2006. McDermott Handcrafted Cues announced today the exclusive Private Reserve Collection, a rare collection of retired cues held back for many years now made available for public sale. McDermott is known for the collectibility of its cues with 39 retired cues rising in value over 400%. Retired McDermott cues may be found for sale around the world through private collectors, auctions and various Web sites.

Serious Cues for Serious Collectors
Since 1975, McDermott Cue has hand selected a small number of each new cue model destined to be the very best – the ultimate expression of artistry and craftsmanship. This is the philosophy behind the McDermott Private Reserve Collection.

Be One of Only 25 Players
McDermott will release 25 prototypes of various retired cues for final finishing from our vaults every several months for sale through the McDermott Web site. “The small amount of Private Reserve prototypes are meticulously handcrafted from the very finest materials to ensure the maximum collectible value of each cue,” says Claude Napier, President and CEO of McDermott. “These will be some of the most sought after cues by collectors around the world.”

Nat Rosasco, Executive Vice President and COO, has created a section of the McDermott Web site to give an overview of the Collection, as well as detailed descriptions, to make it easier for a collector the select their special cue and purchase it.  “Each cue is hand engraved and numbered along with a Certificate of Authenticity,” said Rosasco. “Our stock will constantly be updated so you should check the Site often to see what new treasures are being released.”

The Perfect Inlay
McDermott cues have a rich legacy of design, artistry and quality. The models are distinctive for their design, sometimes classical, often daring. But what sets these cues apart from others is the incredible accuracy of the inlays and ring work. “McDermott employs one of the most time-consuming and careful manufacturing procedures in the industry,” states Larry Liebl, Vice President of Manufacturing. “We use four-axis CNC milling machines that cut our rings and inlays to an incredible .0001’’; the tightest tolerance in the industry and the closest you can get to a perfect inlay that will remain perfect for the lifetime of your cue.”

You will now be able to find these very limited cues at www.mcdermottcue.com/limitedEditioncues.asp for viewing or purchase, and once they’re gone, they’re gone!
